NEW Message From The Band This week has been incredibly full with long music making days and creation of songs in diverse genres for the upcoming 2014 Fan Club EP. We’ve had a great time stretching our musical muscles and having a blast chasing the muse down the rabbit hole. Since our announcement about the plans for the coming HANSON Day celebration on May 16th and 17th, we have begun getting more excited about the ability to share new music, art and a host of other activities with you. OFFBEAT: Hanson Day set for May 17 with a weekend of activities

Tulsa-based pop group Hanson is ready to roll out the red carpet for its fans.

The annual Hanson Day is set for May 16 and 17, with a special concert set for Cain's Ballroom May 17.

Thousands of fans from across the world will head to Tulsa for the day Hanson celebrates with its legions of fans. New events this year include more opportunities to hear the band speak and interact with the crowds, including a "State of the Band" session.

This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the band's formation.

NEW From The Band This Week We have done it! The new album is finished! Well that is not completely true, we have finished tracking (recording). After the last few months of recording, and all the writing before that we have completed sixteen songs, and from them we will build our sixth studio album. In the last few weeks we gave hanson.net members a peak into the studio to hear and see the final notes as they were put down. They heard bits of You Cant Stop Us Now and Tragic Symphony both songs that are strong indications of what is unique about the new album, but it is still only a taste of what will become the final track listing for album number six. What comes next? Now we move on mixing, after that we will pick the final track listing (make sure you are ready to fight for your favorite song) and finally we will master the album. If all goes as planned, you will all get to share in what we have created in just a handful of months. Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson

FAN CLUB EXCLUSIVE Back To The Island 2014 Only a Few Rooms Left! Year one of HANSON’s Back To The Island destination concert event was incredible, and what a great way to start the year! Now it’s official - HANSON and Island Gigs are inviting you to make plans to kick off 2014 with them and a worldwide gathering of music fans for the second event in beautiful Jamaica - Back To The Island 2014!!! During Back To The Island 2013, it was incredible to see people from all corners of the world come together to share in music, food, fun and sunshine, against the backdrop of beautiful Jamaica. As well as HANSON sharing some rare musical moments during the three concerts, there was a meet & greet and photos with everyone attending, and the band took part in some fun Jamaican Island activities. 2014’s event is a chance both for many people to join the band for a second year, and for some new faces to make their way Back To The Island. The 5-day event is an all-inclusive island experience (drinks, food and a wide offering of activities, as well as an exclusive private beach), at the beautiful Breezes Grand Resort, reserved for the Back To The Island Concert Event. Throughout the week of fun and sun, there will be entertainment each night, featuring three performances from the band in different configurations from a stripped down acoustic set, to full electric sets, as well as special activities that the band will take part in. In addition the event will also feature two other special performances from artist friends that the band has invited to join the festivities. 2013’s event featured great music from good friends Robert Schwartzman and Charlie Mars (details of special guests for 2014 will be announced at a later date). NEW Message From The Band This week in our world was an adventure into creativity, as we hosted our annual songwriting retreat Fools Banquet. Over the last week we shared songwriting collaborations with some of our favorite artists and friends, writing and recording more than 20 songs in every style. The gathering was inspiring on many levels, but it was a particularly great spark that helped push us into the creation of this years Fan Club EP. Over the last two days we wrote and recorded four new songs for the coming EP and we will be finishing the final recordings this week back at 3CG.
